As the responsible and safe use of firearms are becoming a higher and higher priority globally, the firearm industry, require their assets and use thereof to be tracked and monitored. This includes ensuring that firearms have not been misappropriated or misused. By using wireless sensing technology, firearms are trackable in real-time in order to immediately detect misappropriation of the firearms and to allow the owner to take steps to recover the firearm.
The development of the trackable firearm was done jointly by Terry Ashwin and HB (Harrington Beecham) who developed the pistol frame taking into account the exact specification required to place a sensor in the firearm. This generic retro fit pistol frame with a cartridge to locate a sensor that enables pistol monitoring, tracking and recording of usage, also makes it possible to replace the current frame of a damaged or aged pistol and the frames of pistols where tracking is required or where the current polymer or metal frame of the pistol manufacturer does not make provision for the installation of a sensor.
The mere fact that monitoring and identification is introduced will reduce firearm related crime.

This invention involves a generic retro fit pistol frame ( developed by Harrington Beecham) with a cartridge to locate a Activity Monitor that enables pistol monitoring, tracking and recording of usage. This technology was developed by Terry. The frame can replace the current frame of a damaged or aged pistol and the frames of pistols where tracking is required or where the current polymer or metal frame of the pistol manufacturer does not make provision for the installation of a Activity Monitor.
